Registration Renewals
There are several ways to renew your vehicle's registration.
Online
- When renewing a vehicle registration online, a PIN is required to complete your transaction. The PIN can be found on the renewal notice that was sent to you through the US Postal Service.
- If your renewal notice has a "stop" sign on it, the vehicle registration does not qualify for online renewal.
- Half year renewals and apportioned vehicles are not eligible for online renewal.
In Person
In addition to cash or checks, credit and debit cards are accepted (additional $2.00 service fee for debit cards or 2.25% service fee for credit card payments).

By Mail
- If you choose to mail your payment, make sure that you have the proper U.S. Postal Service postmark date.
- Include the bottom portion of our renewal notice.
- Make checks payable to Hancock County Treasurer.
